Summer Sermon Series: Got Questions?

Is there a nagging question about faith that sits in the recesses of your mind, coming into your conscious thought just long enough to make you wonder or doubt?

Has anyone asked you a question about faith, and you realized you didn't have a satisfactory answer?

This summer sermon series is for you! (And for me, too.)

You ask the questions, and we dig in together. Answers will not always be neatly packaged and delivered with all the frayed ends tied up, but we promise to bring faithful biblical and historical evidence to the table.

The series is just starting, and we already have several questions - but we want your questions, too. Here is a sneak peek at what we have lined up so far:

1. Sunday, July 19 - Has God or His commands changed? Today we looked at the reliability of scripture, ancient prophecies that have proven true as many as 700 years and more later, and the Old Testament teaching that Jesus still lived by in the New Testament. Today's sermon is posted on our Recent Sermon page.

2. Sunday, July 26 - Did God Create Evil? This one will be interesting, as we look at the nature of good and evil, the sovereignty of God, and what evil actually is.

We have three more questions queued up, too, and we want your questions. In the meantime, here is encouragement for the week.

Hebrews 13:8-9, NLT

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. [9] So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas ..."

2 Timothy 2:13, NLT

"If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is."

In this world of constant change, when it seems that up is down and down is up, it is good to know that Jesus does not change. God's plan and purpose do not change. The basis of our forgiveness and salvation do not change.
